Ztapler

I found Zinnia on the pantry marinating her finger on a cup of water. I asked her, “Anong ginagawa mo?”
“Ini-stapler ko ang daliri ko eh.”
“Na-isteypler?” I clarified.
“Inisteypler,” she ashamedly answered.
“Huh!? Bakit!? Genyan na ba kapag petiks ngayon? Suicidal?” I asked.
“Tinry ko lang kung masakit. Masakit nga. Daming dugo kanina.”
“Z! Anong nangyayari sa’yo?!”
“Di ko rin alam kung bakit ko ginawa ‘yun!”

 

Smart Casual

Our choirmate was getting married and we were invited. The dress code says Smart Casual.
Tina asked, “Paano ‘yun? Smart na ako? So mag-ka-casual na lang ako?”

Mall Climbing

“Orlee,” Zinnia called my name from her office cubicle.
“Ha? Bakit?” I asked.
“May wall climbing daw sa Mirdiff,” she told me on a barely audible voice.
Since Mirdiff is a big area: there are malls, town areas and maybe some abandoned warehouses, I asked her where in Mirdiff, “Mall?”
“Wall.”
“Mall?”
“Wall.”
“Sa mall?”
“Wall nga!” she screamed.
“Z! Alam ko ang WALL Climbing. Ang tinatanong ko kung saan sa Mirdiff? Kung sa MALL ba? Ano naman kaya ‘yung MALL CLIMBING? Sige mag-mall climbing ka.”

 

Camarines Norte or Camarines Sur

Che-che and I went to Camarines during our BPI Bancassurance days. We weren’t sure which Camarines was it (Norte or Sur). All we remember was that we went to the beach and it took an overnighter bus to get there.
So when Che-che learned that Marie was from Camarines Norte, Che asked Marie, “San kaya kami nag-punta ma-ge-gets mo kaya from picture lang? Di na kasi namin maalala kung Camarines Norte or Camarines Sur eh.”

Then Che-che (on flowery red shirt) showed this…Marie answered, “Che, ang Camarines ay napapaligiran ng beach! Kahit saan sa Pilipinas pwede ‘yang picture na ‘yan!”
