See You Soon, Che

My closest friend in Dubai, closed her UAE Chapter, Che finally flew home last Thursday. It was not easy to accept this fact, especially for me, but we had to move on.
I told Ronald, Bing and Atong, “Ayoko na ng ganitong feeling. Kapag kayo nauna sa akin umuwi, ipapa-abang ko na kayo sa NAIA pa lang. Walang UUWI o kaya MAUUNA ako sa inyo!”

See you soon Che.

Rosario & Rosario

One of my BBM group includes Che-che, real name Rosario Palomar.

Today I posted a very broad message, “Rosario mamaya ha?”
Atong and Ronald understood my message as we three were supposed to watch Rosario, the 2010 Period Film which starred Jennylyn Mercado.
Che confusingly asked, “Huh!?!?”
“Manonood kami ng sine mamaya, Che,” Ronald explained.
“Rosario ang title ng movie,” I answered.
“Akala ko may lakad tayong nalimutan ko,” Rosario answered.

Masskara Festival for Atong

Invited by Che to visit her in Ilo-ilo next week, Atong asked, “Baka pwedeng mag-ibang province din tayo like Guimaras or Bacolod?”
Che answered, “Ay! Sayang Masskara Festival sana sa Negros ng 3rd week of October.”
“Hindi ba pwedeng 1st week  of October na lang yun?” Atong begged.

I, overhead this conversation, sarcastically told Atong, “Tumawag nga pala and mayor ng Bacolod. Dahil pupunta ka raw sa kanila, i-mo-move daw nila ang matagal nilang tradisyon para sa’yo.”

Tweet Tweet

Since she’s new to twitter, Che asked me, “Di ko pa nababasa ang tweet tweet mo.”
“Che, tweet lang,” I told her, “Hindi tweet-tweet. Hindi ako ibon.”

White Party

Since our birthdates are close to each other, four of my friends have decided to celebrate it via a 4-way Birthday House Party.

Orlee, Che, Bing and Patrick

All our guests were requested to wear white, while we all 4 wore red.

..

So when other guests were not aware who were the celebrators, they just had to check who else was wearing red.

“Naka-red ka rin? Happy Birthday!” One unknown guest greeted me.

Shredded Cheese

Ronald and Che-che were talking to each other about how to cook a certain dish.

I was half listening to them as I am not interested in cooking but when Che said something about adding shredded cheese I’ve got to ask, “Excuse me? Ano ‘yun? Shredded Cheese?”
Che answered, “Oo. Shredded.”
“Hindi ba dapat GRATED?”
“Ay, Oo! Grated pala.”
“Kalaban ba ng Ninja Turtles ‘yan? Si Shredder?”

Previously on Harry Potter

Che, naalala mo pa ba ‘yung Part 1 nito?” I asked my friend. I wanted her to enjoy the movie by remembering the first part of the installment: HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS.
“Oo. Pag nakita ko ‘yung mga tao maaalala ko ‘yung istorya,” Che answered.
“Baka kasi mag-expect ka ng (voice over na) ‘Previously on Harry Potter’ or ‘yung parang sa mga teleserye na may ‘Nakaraan…’ sa gilid,” I told her, “Si Marish kasi akala may ganun.”

Stripes Festival

I told Ronald, while we were at the beach, “Magandang kuhanan ‘yan sa Instagram.”
“Ang alin?” he asked.
“Ayan oh! Humiga ka sa sahig.”
Everybody laughed. They saw what I was seeing – blue and white stripes festival.
After the picnic, we told Ronald, “Higa! Isa lang!”

“Ayoko!”
Ron stood up, pulled the  mat and stood behind Ronald. Everybody pulled out the cameras and snapped.
“Si Che che din oh!” Ronald searched for someone to be by his side on this very embarrassing moment.

People who saw us were laughing heartily.

Jebel Hafeet Trip

“Dun tayo sa OVERVIEW,” Ronald told me. We were at the top of Jebel Hafeet. The two of us were part of Che-che’s plus 5.
“Sa overview?” I asked.
“Dun sa dinurungawan nila.”
“Ahhh..” I realized, “Sa view deck.”
“Ay oo! Sa libro pala ang overview.”

Me and Che at the “Overview”

Che’s First Poker Game

“Hindi, Che, madali lang talaga ‘tong poker,” I assured Che.
“Baka mahirap, manonood na lang ako,” she answered.
“Hindi! Sumali ka!” I told her.

After a few question and answers and some rounds where she started winning, Ness approached, “Che, nasan ‘yung papel na hinihingi ko sa’yo?”
“Ness, huwag ka munang magulo! Nagsusugal ako!” Che screamed.
