Marclee calls me Nongnong since I am his godfather. I thought, “Atong is also his godfather…” so for Marclee not to get confuse names having so many godfathers (thanks Ronald!) I’ve decided that Atong should have a separate name –Nongnog!

Atong heard me telling Marclee, “Marclee, I’m Nongnong. Ninang Mitch is Nangnang and Ninong Atong is Nongnog.”
Atong laughed hysterically, “Ninong na sunog!?”

The little girl would know that her mom means business whenever she hears her second name.

One time, Lilly got mad at her toy and screamed, “Bunny Madison!”

I Missed You Guys

Last Eid Al Adha, the Al Rigga group (and some new joiners) went to Al Ain and stayed for an all nighter at the Danat Resort Al Ain. We did our usual road trips, laugh trips and food trips.
During our poker session, Seff screamed, “Guys! I missed this. I missed you guys.”
Mark answered with, “Seff, ngayon mo lang kami nakasama tapos ‘I miss you guys’?”

Ronald and Marclee were sits in St. Mary’s Baby’s Room. This room is especially designated for children to eliminate the screaming and crying of kids inside the church.

Two weeks ago, during a Eucharistic Celebration, at a time when everyone seems to be quiet inside the room. Marclee pointed at this picture and screamed, “DOG! DOG! DOG!”

Ronald felt embarrassed as the little boy should have screamed, “Lamb! Lamb! Lamb!”
Tin and Patrick silently snickered and told us after, “Nakakahiya. Ang tahimik tapos biglang sisigawan nya yung tupa ng dog!”

Team Pari vs Team Tren

During one dinner with our Dubai friends (Rigga Babies), Marclee unfortunately fell and wounded his knee.

We all tried to scare him and told him, “Hala ka may lalabas na…”
Then at the same time, some screamed, “Pari,” while others screamed “Tren.”

“Pari? Pano lalabas ang pari sa sugat?”
“Tren ang sa inyo? Pano yun? Magkakariles pa sa sugat para lang makalabas ang tren?”
“Walang logic ang pari… Isang buong tao lalabas sa sugat ng bata?”
“Oo nga naman kasi logical na lumabas ang tren kesa sa pari.”

“Hala ka! May lalabas na tren sa sugat mo.” – Team Tren

Jollibee Dubai Opens

The Jollibee gods have answered our prayers and a Dubai branch has finally opened yesterday at the Dubai Mall Food Court.

Ronald got in line as early as 10 AM and have managed to snatch 2 buckets of Chickenjoy, 2 Yum Burgers, Jolly Hotdogs and Jolly Spaghetti after two hours. It was, according to him, exhausting but it was the kind of exhaustion that was ok.

Everybody was happy just to get the first taste of the authentic Jollibee taste.

He told us the following anecdotes:

1. “Manager ng McDonald’s gusto pumila sa Jollibee.”

2. Ate (Other shops Filipino salesperson): Kuya! Dito na kayo! Ice Cream, walang pila.
Ate: Mamaya! (sabay kindat)

3. Foreign Nationals: Why is there a line? Is the food free?

4. Jolly Hotdog and Yum Burger ran out of stock at 4 PM.

5. Electrician of Jollibee helped with the packing of take aways. That’s how crazy it was.

Janice said, “Mananalo ako ng Lexus. Nararamdaman ko talaga!” chanelling all the fates.
“Hindi ka mananalo ng Lexus,” Atong negated the energies.
“Huwag kang ganyan! Mananalo ako,” she refused to lose.
“Hindi ka nga mananalo Lexus kasi Jaguar ang prize,” Atong told her.
