A phone call from an insurer, “Hello pwede po kay Orlee?”
“Sir Orlee po ito. Ano po iyon, Ma’am?” I asked.
“Ay! Kabayan?”
You spoke Tagalog first, remember?

We were playing poker when Mark started smashing the chips with each other.
Patrick screamed, “Pog!”
I said “Pog!”
Mark himself said, “Pog!”
Atong then answered, “Taching.”
Mark then recognized each uttered words, “Napag-aalaman lang generation! Sabi ko Pog, sabi ni Orlee Pog, sabi ni Pat Pog… Sabi ni Atong Taching.”
We all laughed then Sef said, “Ano yung pog? Ano yung taching?”
Last Eid Al Adha, the Al Rigga group (and some new joiners) went to Al Ain and stayed for an all nighter at the Danat Resort Al Ain. We did our usual road trips, laugh trips and food trips.
During our poker session, Seff screamed, “Guys! I missed this. I missed you guys.”
Mark answered with, “Seff, ngayon mo lang kami nakasama tapos ‘I miss you guys’?”
“Ang balak ko talaga mag anak ng 8,” A answered.
I asked her how many kids she and her husband wants.
“Andami naman nun, Arlyn! Usually 1 or 2 lang ngayon.”
“Sabi ng asawa ko wag na lang daw pag-aralin yung isa para may kasama kami tumanda,” she answered.
“Magandang idea yan: Huwag bigyan ng ambisyon para di iwan ang magulang.”
“Parang ganun na nga.”
Then I asked her, “Sino ang di pag-aaralin? Yung panganay? Bunso? O yung pinakapanget?”
“Ay lahat ng anak ko walang panget,” she defended.
“May panget pa rin dyan,” I told her, “Pag-pinagtabi-tabi.”
“No comment ako dyan sa topic na yan,” Said Joy.
Ronald and Marclee were sits in St. Mary’s Baby’s Room. This room is especially designated for children to eliminate the screaming and crying of kids inside the church.
Two weeks ago, during a Eucharistic Celebration, at a time when everyone seems to be quiet inside the room. Marclee pointed at this picture and screamed, “DOG! DOG! DOG!”
Ronald felt embarrassed as the little boy should have screamed, “Lamb! Lamb! Lamb!”
Tin and Patrick silently snickered and told us after, “Nakakahiya. Ang tahimik tapos biglang sisigawan nya yung tupa ng dog!”
“Orlee, blooming ka ngayon. Simula nung nag-asawa ka parang pumogi ka,” Kathy told me.
“Parang sinabi mo namang panget ako dati,” I answered.
She laughingly answered, “Hindi. Totoo. Siguro dahil may asawa ka na.”
“Eh di alam na this Kathy. Mag-asawa ka na,” I told her.
“Para namang ako ang sinabi mong panget.”
