Our neighbors were celebrating the Hindu Festival of Diwali. They honor the day by lighting up candles and placing some of in front of their houses.
Being the naive 3 year old that he is, Marclee sang Happy Birthday to himself and blew each of the candles.
His dad told him, “Marclee, no! It’s not for birthday.”
He thought it’s his birthday whenever there are lit candles lying around.
Our doctor asked, “How are you feeling today?” On our 39th week visit.
Mitch feels a lot of Braxton Hicks.
She answered kiddingly to the doctor, “I feel a lot of Toni Braxton.”
The doctor laughed and answered, “It’s not Toni Braxton, Michelle.”
Mitch asked Marclee, “Would you like to drink pineapple juice?”
Marclee answered, “Pineapple Pen!”
Mitch laughed hard. It was the first time that Marclee heard PJ in his life but PPAP he knows by heart.
As pineapple helps labour, i told my wife:
“Hon tintamad na ako magwork. Kumain ka nga ng isang kilong pinya.”
I was worried about a lump in my back so I told my wife, “Hon! Ano kaya tong nakakapa ko?”
I told her to feel it, “Dito oh,” helping her hands to the spot.
“Hon, buto mo yan eh. Ribs yan.”
Hahaha. Tangerks.
M: Hon, napapaisip ako. Ngayong nalalapit na lumabas si Sab.
O: Ano yun?
M: Paano kaya maging isang ina?
O: Ask mo si Andrea.
M: Sino yun?
O: 
M: Hahaha! Baliw.
We were talking about artists we personally met and Ate Weng said, “Si Dingdong Dantes nameet ko na sa personal.”
“Ate, kamukha ko raw yun? Totoo?” I asked.
“Sino may sabi?” She asked sarcastically.
“Pagnakatalikod daw ako. Pareho raw kami.”
“Talikod ka na lang palagi.”
Tem, from the Shower Area, approached our newly set up picnic umbrella, “Grabe! Kitang kita sa malayo!”
“Nakakahiya?” I asked.
“Butas eh!”
Since the pregnancy kicked in, there is no designated time nor place for her to sleep. Mitch would sleep at 6pm then wakes up at 10pm. She would sometimes sleep on the couch while the rest of us is watching something on TV.
During those times, I would tell her, after we finish the movie or tv series, “Hon, gising na…. tulog na tayo.”
