Somewhere Down the Road

30 Apr

My on and off friends, who I will not name are on the rocks lately.

The guy asked me, “Tol pa-send naman ng lyrics ng Somewhere Down the Road,” as he has no online access, just company emails.

Bright bulb turned on: RIDICULE TIME!

I replied with lyrics from my mind:

“We had the right love at the wrong time

I guess I always knew inside

Blah Blah Blah Blah

I understand more than you think I can

And if you now on your own

We hope (?)  you find your way back home

That somewhere down the road

Our roads are gonna cross again

It doesn’t really matter when

But somewhere down the road

Our roads are gonna cross again

It doesn’t really matter when

Sometimes ‘goodbyes’ are not forever

It doesn’t really matter when youre gone

Blah Blah Blah Forever

Isang paragraph na di ko alam

Repeat Chorus

Letting go is just another way to say I’ll always love you so

Repeat first paragraph

Repeat Chorus

He angrily replied, “Search mo naman ‘yung tamang lyrics, naman to oh!”

I replied with the correct lyrics but I won’t let this pass, (see parantheses for your perusal):

We had the right love (yun yun eh!)
At the wrong time (ows?)
Guess I always knew inside (oh alam no pala eh)
I wouldn’t have you for a long time (ouch)

Those dreams of yours (nakaktulog ka pa ba?)
Are shining on distant shores (sa pinas to)
And if they’re calling you away (Dubai to)
I have no right to make you stay (I-de-deport na)

But somewhere down the road (Maktoum Road?)
Our roads are gonna cross again (ah Clocktower)
It doesn’t really matter when
But somewhere down the road (EDSA?)
I know that heart of yours
Will come to see
That you belong with me

Sometimes good-byes are not forever (sometimes they are)
It doesn’t matter if you’re gone
I still believe in us together (di rin)
I understand more than you think I can (hehe. tanga ka raw)
You have to go out on your own
So you can find your way back home (Manila)

And somewhere down the road (Rigga Road)
Our roads are gonna cross again (ah fish round about)
It doesn’t really matter when
But somewhere down the road (Sheik Zayed Road)
I know that heart of yours
Will come to see
That you belong with me
Letting go is just another way to say
I’ll always love you so (shuhada!)

We had the right love (Oohhhh)
At the wrong time (Aaahhhh)
Maybe we’ve only just begun (Ooooh)
Maybe the best is yet to come (Aaaahhhh)
‘Cause

Somewhere down the road (Quezon Ave?)
Our roads are gonna cross again (Ah Memorial Circle)
It doesn’t really matter when
But somewhere down the road (Roxas?)
I know that heart of yours
Will come to see
That you belong
With me (not in Dubai)
