Jade: Room Boy

After moving to a spacious flat, we have noticed that Jade still puts all his stuff on their room: Carpet, couches, paintings and all.
“Sabi ko nga sa kanya, sa labas (salas and dining area) n’ya ilagay eh,” Marish told Ronald and me.
I mockingly told Jade, “Sir? Bahay n’yo rin po ‘yung labas ng room. Pwede rin po kayong maglagay ng gamit dun.”

A very spacious dining area.

I then came to a realization and told Ronald and Marish, “Hayaan na natin. Si Jade ang pinakamatagal dito sa UAE (5 years). Nasanay syang pagkasyahin lahat sa isang room. Di s’ya sanay na may salas at dining area sa labas.”

A Garbage Can Full of Women’s Shoes

When we shifted 2 weeks ago, Ronald had accidentally picked up this garbage can full of women’s shoes. He assumed it was Marish‘s.

After arranging all the stuff we have transferred, Ronald saw the unmoved garbage can and told Marish, “Oh! Sapatos mo!”
“Hindi akin ‘yan,” she answered.
“Nye! Eh kanino ‘to?” he asked himself.

After one day, Ronald was asked by the owner of our old flat, “Ronald, may nadala ka bang mga sapatos ng babae?”
“Oo, ate, nabitbit namin.”
“Isoli n’yo na lang one of these days.”

Since we have become so busy fixing things in the new flat, we forgot to drop the shoes in our old flat.
Ronald received a text message from an unknown number, “Kuya, pwede po bang padala na nung mga sapatos? Napagalitan na po kasi yung kapatid ko. Naka-rubber shoes sya pumasok sa office,” it was one of the borders.
It was so pathetic, it sounded so funny.

Jetlog

“Tem, kamusta nanay?” I called after nanay landed to the Philippines after her 8-month US tenure.
“Ayun! May jet-log.”
“Ano? May jetlog na ang nanay? Ano ang sabi ng tatay? Ok lang sa kanya na may jetlog ang nanay?”

English Lang

Before moving to our new flat, Ronald, our resident cook, suggested to me, Marish and Jade, “English lang tayo sa bagong flat natin ha?”
“Kami pa hinamon mo! Sige ba?” we answered.
“Anong parusa sa mag-ta-Tagalog?” I asked.
“Magluluto,” he answered.
