Arlyn: maglist down ka orlee ng mga gusto mo sa babae, tapos piliin mo un top 2.. kpag nakita mo na un ayos na, wag ng iinsist un iba pang gusto mo dhil di lhat ng gusto mo nasa iisang babae. kung gusto mo mabait at loyal, kpag nakakita ka na wag mo ng hilingin na maganda, ayos na un hindi pangit khit di maganda, kung gs2 mo matalino at loyal, magtiis ka kung medyo di mabait at maganda hehehe

To discuss something within your cubicle, is called ‘sitting’ in our office, as opposed to a meeting.
“We’ll sit on it later.”
“She sat late in the evening to finish the report.”

Since I now have Filipino colleagues, aside from my longtime Filipina companion, Zinnia, we have now translated to the Filipino word – upo.
When one of the new colleague shared that her boss sat with her it sounded funny in the Filipino version.
“Bakit ka OT?”
“Inupuan ako ni Boss.”
“Mabigat?” I kiddingly added.

Reminiscing American Idol

Since I came home late yesterday, Ness, Anj and Ronald already watched the downloaded American Idol result show.
I decided to pop it again and they have decided to re-watch it.

A few minutes in into the show, Anj and Ronald was acting as if they didn’t see it (an hour) earlier.
“Wow! Safe sya!” Ronald screamed.
“Akala ko ba napanood nyo na to?” I asked.
“Bakit?” Ronald asked, “Bawal ba mag-reminisce?”
“Reminisce!?”

I called my sister, I wanted to hear about the news that she just bought a new iPhone.
“Hello?” I opened.
“Hello?” she answered.
“Hello?” she said, “Hello?”
“Hello?” I was getting crossed, “Hello?” and I dropped it.

After a few minutes, she called back, “Hello?”
“Hello!?” I screamed.
“Kuya!” she replied, “Sorry may plastic pa pala kanina…”
