Winning Moment
After his mother betted on the lottery the night before, Chona’s brother, Emman, heard his mom scream so he run out of his room and asked why his mother was screaming and crying in front of the Television, “Ma, bakit?!?!?? Nanalo na ba tayo sa lotto!?!?”
“Hindi,” she answered, “Nanalo si David Cook sa American Idol!” (big fan)
“Ikaw ba naman, Orlee,” Chona retelling the story to me, “Malaman mong tumaya ang nanay mo sa lotto the night before tapos makita mong umiiyak at nagtatatalon sa harap ng tv the next morning. Malamang iisipin mo ngang nanalo kayo sa lotto, di ba?”
