It was Tem’s favorite.

BerryMore for Miggy’s Classmate
Dati MV
So I collected in one video some of the photos of my past Philippine Vacation. Everybody (means all my sisters from Japan and US) came home to celebrate Rafa’s christening, Miggy’s 6th birthday and a few other family bonding moments.
Nanay called this morning. She just saw it.
“Choy, napanood ko yung mga picture,” she started, “Nakakaiyak!”
“Nay! Bawal ho umiyak mandadamay nanaman kayo eh,” I pleaded.
“Parang yung commercial ng McDonald’s dati yung unti-unti nawala mga anak nila.”
“NAAAAY!”
In the comments section of the facebook link, Tem commented, “Kuya, si Tatay galit kay Nanay. Kasi ayaw tigilan yung video mo pero iyak naman ng iyak.”
Movie Buff Family
I’m the resident bookworm of the family and I push my nieces to read good books every once in awhile.
“Bakit di kayo nahilig magbasa?” I asked my sisters Ate Mimi, Ate Richie and Tem.
“More on movies kasi kami,” they all answered.
“Weh!?” I asked them, “Sige nga. Kung talagang movie buff kayo… Magbigay nga kayo ng pangalan ng isang direktor. Isa lang!” I dared them.
“Umm… Steven Spielberg!” They proudly answered.
“Nay! Napaka-given naman nun! Iba pa!” I dared them. I was hoping they would answer Steven Sodebergh, Martin Scorcese, Chris Nolan or even just Woody Allen.
They were silent for quite a while when Tem screamed, “Binibining Joyce Bernal!”
Ang Corny Naman ng Joke Mo!
After telling a joke, my girlfriend told me, “Ang corny naman ng joke mo,” after laughing from the joke herself.
I then told her, “Kapag nasabi mo yan ng di ka tumatawa, babayaran kita ng 100.”
we then agreed on the rules:
1. Look me straight in the eye.
2. Say “Ang corny naman ng joke mo” in the most poker face possible.
3. Count for 10 seconds before asking for the prize money.
She tried to catch me once.
Ronald, Mitch and I was in the mall last weekend.
I told both of them, “Samahan n’yo ako sa bookstore, bibili ako ng book.”
“Syempre! Alangan namang sa hardware,” Ronald sarcastically answered.
I saw Mitch’s face practicing her poker face.
Before she could even tell it, I stopped her and told her, “Hon, ‘di naman joke yun.”
Quickmelt Pasalubong
Whenever someone say QUICKMELT I only have one thing in mind — the cheese. Quickmelt Cheese.
Little did I know that there is an ensaymada brand with the same name QUICKMELT.
That was not a problem not until recently…
“Hon, ang hiling ko lang sayo ay Quickmelt (ensaymada),” Mitch requested from me when I was back home in the Philippines.
“Ok.”
When I arrived, I proudly handed over one block of cheese to my girl, “Hon, Quickmelt!”
“Keso!? Ensaymada ang request ko!” she answered laughing.
“Akala ko pa naman may ibe-bake ka!”
